Q: Who doesn’t love…

...whipped cream?

A: Vegans

As for who loves…

a joke, a pie in the face? That’s what the initial copy was for me.
I was aware, have been and am aware that upon entering any post, any bit or byte of information where he’s concerned that I may only really be setting myself up to be on the receiving end of a punch line- whether his or someone else’s that’s the history. Have I learned from it? Maybe- maybe not as I did walk straight into that cream pie.

Too, this last week I dreamed of Plato’s cave- woke from Plato‘s cave into this one? Take your pick.

Plato’s cave plus whoever that philosopher was who coined the idea of each of us being in our own boxes with everything we need except nothing in the box is real. Merge Plato and that nameless man and we are utterly separate and alone, at best interacting only with each other’s shadows projected onto loosely woven curtains whose primary function is convincing us how very real this screen or that cave wall truly is.

And so do we all see the same projections on our digital screens? Perhaps, perhaps not but what is certain is we each perceive them through our own lens. A lens of experience? Of expectation? All of which and more is perspective which had been the topic of my next entry because a novice to narrative was working on a two act play. And two acts it was, to acts I read and was struck by because two acts can be difficult. One acts are far easier.

But then again - perhaps this is/was all a near lucid dream experienced on and through a cave wall? Throw this or that on the lab rat’s wall and see how they react? Or don’t. or won’t. See just how many times they’ll take the bait? Algorithms built around keywords representing exactly nothing more than Wolfram’s hypothesis.

There’s plenty I don’t understand: why when I search behold the relish I find comments on strange sites time stamped a decade or two or three or four -off. Why a keyword search via a small town’s newspaper doesn’t elicit a particular picture but instead one of a GSD and a house cat as opposed to anything about a cougar and a strawberry patch. Or why when I search myself I find an address from a googly-eyed street view for an address I don’t and never have lived; though I always was struck by the street and the synagogue. Which came first the synagogue or the invisibly intersecting street/road? named “Christian” just up from Wallenberg’s Bear-e-Patch that rose up when one of two owner‘s who owned greasy spoon across from CofC found retirement financed by Starbucks wasn‘t all he‘d thought it would be. Old patron’s still miss/ed the pie/s.

Was the permit for the synagogue issued first? the street named Christian in reply? Or did each simply happen to be there in no forethought relationship to the other ? I don’t know.

Nor do I know what would motivate the keeper of a blog to even mention Charleston, much less time stamp as he did and has- or so I saw on the screens in front of me, set before me as if, as if.

Months ago now I did something I hadn’t done in a long time & was griped by confusion and fear: why would he mention Charleston?

In later copy it became Charleston and New Orleans & now it only shows up on keyword searches but that didn’t erase the question: Why? Why mention Charleston when one’s public and private enemy #1- well of course he’s lived here before, still knows people from here, etc, etc..

I really couldn’t figure it out- or the subsequent two entries whose copy as well as their content changed. One doesn’t necessarily result in the other.

And too and maybe because of all the copy and content change/s I went to the dot.com to check out a bit of copy. I knew what was there, what was supposed to be there, what had been there- had been because there’s copy missing - that and the date: 2008. As I recall it was redesigned and rewritten in 2007 and my recall for narrative tends to be pretty spot on.

Until I caught that pie in the face my next entry was going to be about perspective which like many words means something different depending on how and to what it is applied. And then of course motivation, character motivation.
For instance why would this man, this particular character mention Charleston in his copy? What would motivate him to mention the very place that would ding-ding-ding register with - well me, heretofore that bothersome woman from Charleston?

Lots of possibilities - one which seems well outside the bounds of what is probable…or perhaps bait? Payback? a ruse? But for me, this character’s on deck perspective- yeah I hear something but what? Could be a siren’s song, could be the waves breaking on actual land, could be the wind or a joker tricking my senses.

2007 I remember the last words I heard from this guy and if something has changed I’d need him to clearly spell it out for me.

Under what did/do I file “…feedback…”?

Charity.
